Research on the Coccinellidae (Coleoptera) eco-fauna of Kırşehir province and its surroundings

This thesis study is based on field and subsequent laboratory studies conducted between April and November 2024 in Kırşehir province and its districts for the purpose of investigating the species belonging to the Coccinellidae family in terms of ecological and faunistic aspects. The samples within the scope of the study were collected mainly with the help of a trap from various habitats in Kırşehir center, Akçakent, Akpınar, Boztepe, Çiçekdağı, Kaman and Mucur districts. As a result of the thesis study, 10 species belonging to the Coccinellidae family, within the subfamilies Coccinellinae and Chilocorinae, belonging to 6 genera were identified. Six of these species are new records for the Kırşehir provincial fauna. In addition, evaluations including ecological factors such as temperature, humidity, precipitation and soil temperature were made within the scope of the thesis study.
