Evaluation of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Kırşehir province within the scope of cultural tourism

Tourism, which develops in parallel with the development potential of the countries, changes by blending all the features of the place where it is located. These innovations and changes are causing people to move away from the existing tourism movements and lead them to new trends. With the development of cities and the increasing importance given to cultural heritage, new types of tourism have emerged. The province of Kırşehir is one of the distinguished provinces of the Central Anatolia Region, which has historical richness, cultural identity and all traces from the past to the present. All the assets it has in terms of tourism have been important development tools of the city, but since the level of development is lower compared to other cities, it has not been able to promote its values much. This awareness should be imposed on people in order to transfer all the social, historical and cultural resources of the city to future generations. In this study, it is aimed to contribute to the promotion of the values of Kırşehir province by making necessary researches. In this study, the research was deepened by using literature review and document analysis technique. Detailed research has been carried out on thesis, articles, foreign resources and necessary web pages that will contribute to the subject. The study consists of five parts. In the first part, the introduction part is given. In the second part, the concepts of culture and cultural heritage are included. As a subtitle, the concept of tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage has been emphasized. In the third chapter, general information about Kırşehir province is given. In the fourth chapter, comments and findings about the cultural heritage of Kırşehir province are given. In the fifth chapter, conclusions and recommendations are included. With this study, it was aimed to determine the cultural tourism potential of Kırşehir province and SWOT analysis was made for this purpose.
