Reflection of Kırşehir culture on software design with modern embroidery and illustration techniques

Culture is a value consisting of all the material and spiritual elements of asociety. Cultureis transferred and kept alive through cultural values. Cultural values are formed as a result of a certain accumulation with the traditions, customs, ways of life and religious beliefs of the societies in which they live. The transfer of cultural values formed in this way is mostly realised through art. Apart from the place where people live, they visit other places for various reasons (travelling, recreation, education, economic etc.). During these visits, they want to buy a souvenir that reflects the historical and cultural richness, traditions and customs of the place they have visited. A souvenir product that describes the historical and natural beauties, cultural richness of a region, reflects its traditions and customs, and has different features that can be both portable and kept as a souvenir is mostly made with hand handicraft products. Hand art products are among the most important reasons why they are preferred as souvenirs in addition to being produced by hand labour, carrying traditional features, being functional and reflecting the culture of the region. In this study Neşet Ertaş, music culture, Ahi Evran, Ahi culture, Ahi Evran Mosque, Ahi Evran Tomb, Cacabey Madrasah, Cacabey Tomb, Caravanserai and Caravanserai Bridge, Üçayak Church, Seyfe Lake - flamingo bird, Kırşehir kaman walnut and Kırşehir molasses are the subject of the studies. It is aimed to design Kırşehir culture as souvenirs by using embroidery technique in traditional handicrafts and illustration technique in graphic art. In this context, 13 (thirteen) designs were prepared. In order to integrate these designs with today's modern art, the illustration technique was applied and a pictorial expression of the culture of the region was provided. It is thought that these designs, which are made by blending traditional and contemporary methods, will contribute to local tourism as souvenir designs in the economic dimension as well as promoting the local culture and transferring it to future generations.
