Abstract (EN)

Energy consumption is increasing in our country, as it is globally, and this leads to more energy need. In addition to increasing carbon emissions, causing global warming, irreversible damage to the environment, high energy demand causes serious costs for the energy importing countries like Turkey. In this context, optimization of energy consumption has great importance in Textile, which is a very important industry branch for our country, as in every industry field. Ring spinning, one of the sub-branches of the textile industry, is carried out widely in our country and has a significant place in energy consumption with its high installed capacity. Ring spinning machines are the most energy consuming machine group in ring spinning plants. Within this framework, the energy consumption of the ring spinning machine's parts was analyzed with comparative measurements within the scope of the study, and it was revealed how energy consumption optimizations can be achieved in the light of the results obtained. In addition, a computer estimation model was developed that calculates the energy consumption required per kg of yarn production in the ring spinning machine, using the previous literature studies and the energy analysis performed under the mill conditions of the study.
