Determination of the küçük menderes river water quality

The Kucuk Menderes River is one of the important rivers of the Aegean Region. The river carries to the Aegean Sea, agricultural pollution caused by improperly used pesticides and chemical fertilizers in intensive agricultural activities and domestic and industrial wastewater discharged without treatment of settlements. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the sources of pollution in the Kucuk Menderes River. The parameters of pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, salinity, turbidity, anionic detergent, phosphate, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, boron were determinated. The values were compared with the criteria values specified in the regulations and the values in other studies.
