The competitiveness criterias for small and mediım enterprises and research in the carpenters and furniture manufacturers in Eskişehir

It is getting harder day by day to compete in globalizing world. Small and mediumsized enterprises are beginning to have more importance with their ratio in whole enterprisesand employment capability in the industry of Turkey. Thus, it will be useful for boththemselves and the economy of Turkey to provide their local & global competitivenesscapabilities and make them continue. Because of this, it is an important research to measuresmall and medium sized enterprises? competitiveness capabilities and create strategiesaccording to the datum that have gained. In this research, the competitiveness capabilitycriterias of 250 carpenters and furniture manifacturers?in Eskişehir are tried to be determinedand measured by face to face interview and inquiry method. At the same time 500 furniturecustomers are inquired. In the result of this research, it is seen that small and medium sizedenterprises? in Eskişehir carpenters and furniture manufacturers? sector do not havecompetitiveness criterias enough. To be able to increase the competitiveness criterias, somesuggestions are made.
