Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate the educational needs of the postgraduate otolaryngologists and to emphasise the topics that should be considered as more important for the otolaryngologists who work in the field. Method: This descriptive, cross-sectional, survey study took place in October 2016 in Akdeniz University Medical Faculty, Department of Medical Education. The needs assessment of the postgraduate otolaryngologists investigated with 2 round Delphi Analysis. Results: 78 otolaryngologists participated to the survey. The most important 3 educational needs are respectively determined as Facial Plastic Surgery, Otology – Neurootology and Head and Neck Surgery. Conclusion: Facial Plastic Surgery practices should take more place in Otolaryngology residency programs due to the needs of the otolaryngologists servicing in the field. The establishment of the Sub-specialty branches may play a cruel role in the appliance of advanced otolaryngology practices.
