Comparison of teahing arabic and Turkish course books as a foreign language in the context of culture transfer

In teaching Turkish as a foreign language, it is aimed not only to teach the language system of the Turkic language, to teach the language constructions, but also to introduce the Turkish culture by carrying out the cultural transmission at the same time. This is also the most important principle that should be taken in the context of teaching Turkish as a foreign language at the same time. However, it should be said that there should be a balance in the transfer of culture. This equilibrium can be formed, it also means that the target language to be taught is recognized as a cultural feature, or even other cultural place is given in language teaching. In this study, it is aimed to compare textbooks used in teaching Arabic as a foreign language and textbooks used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language in the context of culture transfer. One of the most important steps in foreign language teaching is to learn the language of the learned language. The books that were determined in the study were examined in terms of salutations and behaviors which constitute the sub-subjects of interpersonal relations, family relations and intergenerational relations, hospitality, catering and gifts. Document analysis technique was used during the research and data were presented and presented in tabular form in the findings. One of the purposes of the research is to identify similar and different aspects of Arabic culture with Turkish culture in terms of determined cultural properties. In addition to this, it was examined whether the data obtained were useful for the learners of Turkic and the people who learned Arabic. In this descriptive study, document scanning will be used as the data collection method. In the analysis of obtained data, freakance distributions and percentage ratios will be used. The findings obtained in the conclusions and suggestions section were interpreted and various suggestions related to the research were presented.
