Abstract (EN)

In this study, the discourses of Thedor W. Adorno, one of the important thinkers of the Frankfurt School, on music, which are included in the cultural industrial cycle, were examined. First of all, while the commodification problem of music, which has an important place in the Cultural Industry, is discussed, the discourses of Thedor W. Adorno are also included with the reflection of the alienation and marketability feature in the cultural industry. The rhetoric of Thedor W. Adorno, who is confronted with many criticisms such as the distancing of music in the Culture Industry from a critical structure, draws attention to an important place. In the study, Adorno's discourses are examined and it is aimed to reveal how and how these discourses affect music and to reveal these results. In this study, which was created from this point of view, the Literature Review Model, which is one of the Qualitative Research Methods, was used as a method, while the Historical Research Model was used as a second method. By examining the discourses of Thedor W. Adorno on music, the positioning process of music in the Cultural Industry has been tried to be revealed. Keywords: Theodor W.
