Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to examine and assess the use of dijital interactive storytelling techniques found in cultural heritage sites and the international literature and provide recommendations for possible similar future applications in Turkey. At the outset, the importance of stories and storytelling techniques in terms of cultural heritage are examined and discussed by giving examples. While the use of storytelling in heritage sites and other digital heritage areas was studied frequently by international researchers, studies in Turkey regarding this subject are seemingly inadequate in literature. In this study, documents from European Comission funded projects that concern digital interactive storytelling in the context of cultural heritage are examined and analyses with evaluations are provided with the purpose of discovering possible contributions of digital interactive storytelling methods for cultural heritage and tourism, Thus, it is thought that holistic meanings regarding the use of digital interactive storytelling methods in the context of cultural heritage and its contribution to tourism will be discovered. In line with the information obtained from the evaluations regarding the contributions, suggestions for the use of these methods in the context of cultural heritage and tourism will be presented. Keywords: Storytelling, Cultural Heritage, Museum, Heritage Site, Interactive, Digital Heritage
