Abstract (EN)

There are many different definitions of Culture. International interactions ensure the blending of different cultures with each other and the formation of intercultural interaction. War, migration and trade, which enable cultural interactions, ensure that the traditions, beliefs, artisan and artistic works of the societies interact with each other. It is known that Troyan, a mountain town of Bulgaria, was a stop on the migration route in ancient times and those who fled from wars took refuge here. Due to its geographical location, Troyan has rich opportunities in terms of ceramic raw material reserves. For this reason, pottery is preferred in ceramic production and is transmitted from generation to generation. It is known that potters introduced this art to the whole world with their original pouring decors on the surfaces of the works. They ensured that the décor of the Turkish communities living in Bulgaria to pour those who fled the war and migrated to Anatolia was carried to the Kınık region and this technique was recognized as a decoration feature of Kınık. In the first part of this study, the concept of culture, definitions of intercultural interaction, causes and ceramic art that develops and progresses thanks to interactions are examined. In the second part of the thesis, the history, art and ceramics of Bulgaria and the pouring decorations of the city of Troyan, which is known to the whole world, the development and progress of this special art were examined. In the third part, the development of Kınık pottery, the fact that Şakir ağa, who emigrated from Bulgaria, brought the décor of pouring to our country and the use of this décor technique from past to present were examined. In the fourth part, the Troyan and Kınık ceramic culture is evaluated by comparison. In the last and fifth part of the thesis, personal practices are included. Keywords: Bulgaria, Ceramic Culture, Culture, Kınık Slipware Decor, Troyan Slipware Decor
