Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate Turkish text books used in teaching approaches as a foreign language in terms of intercultural communicative competence. In this context, "Turkish Text book for Foreigners" prepared by TOMER Gazi University and "Istanbul Turkish for Foreigners Course Book" prepared by language center of İstanbul University have been selected. The general nature of the study is descriptive. In the collection of neccessary data for the assessments creening model has been used. Evaluation of quantitative and qualitative research data in terms of features. Research in the terms of evaluating data has got quantitative and qualitative features. In the study as asample in order to evaluate the selected text books, the opinion of the Turkish teacher whose course books are used in lessons has been taken. In this context, intercultural competence scale has been applied. The specified scale has been used in Works of Gönül (2007) in the study and has been developed by Skopinskaj (2003). In this study, evaluation of the data as a quantitative obtained from research, has been performed with descriptive statistics technique and SPSS software. As a result, despite some short comings of the text books selected as sample, they have been determined as a sufficient reportin terms of intercultural communicative competence approach, the data cleaning has been studied for the other prepared new teaching materials.
