Stream sediment geochemistry of Kuluncak(Malatya)vicinity

There is evidence of this area containing to following ores iron, fluorite,vermiculite and chromite. For this thesis there has been a total 37 samples taken from activestream beds.Sand samples taken from the stream beds as shown in thick thin dimensions 2-2-2 HCl-HNO3 -H2O mixtures are untied. 12 samples -0.075mm in dimension using 0.25Mhydroxylamine as an untying agent we have come up with 1M sodium acetate and have usedICP-OES and ICP-MS as analyzing methods. 12 samples are using -0,075mm strong (kingwater) and weak (1M sodium acetate, weak leach 2: ZLF 2) acids and both hare comparedagainst each other. Sand samples from the active stream beds in the study area show that oresmentioned are present after necessary analyses were done.Different fractions of the stream sediments were analyzed using various analyticalmethods and techniques. Analytical data indicate that coarse (-0,18+0,075mm) and fine (-0,075mm) fractions of the stream sediments are similar in all the element contents except Al,P, K and V. There is not any considerable difference between weak-cold acid solutions.Be, Ce, Y, Zr, Nb, Hf, Ga, Se, Cd, Zn, Pb, Th and U elements show anomalous values inthe NW parts of the study area. The origin of the anomalous values is the fluoritemineralization outside of study area. The Mg, Cr, Co and Ni anomalous values in the centralparts are caused by ophiolitic rock outcrops.
