Abstract (EN)

The fact of ?human and human abilities? to be the most valuable source has been accepted in knowledge society of 21st century. Refering to this reality, the necessity of managing human resource by an optimum and humanitarian approach has been naturally appeared in order to provide personal and social tranquility - success and fertility in the business environment. Difficulties of changing management understanding on the way from guild communities to the modern human resources management systems have been accepted and applied by a number of sectors. The aim of this study is to investigate the dependence of athletes to their club by their personal ideas. The population of the research is 3500 athletes of Kocaeli Metropolitian Municipality Sports Club being one of the biggest amateur sports club of Turkey. Sample data group was defined by random selection method. Total 0f 408 athletes have accepted to attend the questionnaire, composing the research sample. Questionnaire technique has been used for data collection. Literature survey has been performed on academicial electronic databases and university library catalogues. Thesis related to the research topic has been investigated from Turkish Higher Education Council Documentation Center and ProQuest Dissertations and Theses which provides access to the thesis published abroad.First part of the research questionnaire consists of questions realted to demographical structures of the athletes. Second part of the research questionnaire consists of questions realted to club assessments of the athletes.?Organisational Depencedence Measure? which was developed by Allen and Mayer have been stated in the third part of the research questionnaire to investigate organisational dependence of the athletes to the club (Allen ve Meyer, 1990). The suggesttions of English language and sport science experts were taken into consideration during the translation works of ?Organisational Depencedence Questionnaire? from English to Turkish. Data collected by the research has been analyzed and evaluated using statistical analysis package, SPSS15. Deterministic statistical values of mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage distributions have been calculated in order to get idea about the demographical information and the other group questions. The normative dependence to the club was found to be high with the value of 3.9281.Continuation dependence and emotional dependence were both found to be high with the values of 2.7574 and 3.5192, respectively. When the relationship in between maritial status of the athletes and and some other variables of the questionnaire was evaluated as sub-problems, some meaningful relations in between the above mentioned variables were obtained. Finally, a number of precuations for improving the dependence of the club level were suggested to the clubs.
