The effect of poultry waste ash on yield and some quality characteristics of the potato plant

This study was carried out in three replications according to the randomized blocks experimental design in the field of Yenicepınar Village of Bolu Province in 2021 in order to determine the yield and some quality characteristics of chicken bed ash applied at different doses in Bolu ecological conditions of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). Six different fertilizer doses were used in the experiment. These doses were applied to farmer conditions (8 kg/da P + 20 kg/da N), 0, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 kg/da chicken litter ash + 20 kg/da N. Chicken litter ash and phosphorus fertilizer were applied one week before planting, and nitrogen application was applied before planting and before throat filling. All kinds of observations, measurements, weighing and quality analyzes made in the experiment were made separately for each parcel. According to the data obtained as a result of the research, the highest plant height (cm), the number of main stems (pieces), the specific gravity (g) 1500 kg/da ash application, the number of tubers per quarry (pieces) farmer conditions; average tuber weight (g), French fries oil rate (%), protein rate (%), big tuber rate (%) 2000kg/da; chips oil rate (%), small tuber rate (%), dry matter rate (%) in the control plot where there was no application; decare yield kg/ha, medium tuber ratio (%), marketable tuber ratio (%), were determined in 1000 kg/da chicken litter ash application.
