Dual narration in the Qur'an and its importance in religious education

The fact that it is the most fundamental source of Islam makes the Qur'an and the subjects it covers important, as well as the way of handling and conveying those subjects, namely, the style of expression, at least as important. One of these narrative forms is dual narrative. In our study, we discussed the dual expression within the framework of "two words or combinations used in the same religious context in the Qur'an, literally or semantically, one in a positive and the other in a negative sense, in a meaningful integrity". We started our research by revealing the relationship of expression with the concepts of language, belagha and style and by addressing the dimensions of expression. Then, we determined the definition and scope of dual expression, and in this context, we determined its place in belagha and its relationship with other disciplines. We have thematically classified and detailed the binary expressions we have determined in terms of the subjects themselves in the Qur'an, (iman-kufr), their qualifications (haq-batil), their demands (amr-nahy), their ruling (halal-haram), their notification (tabshir-indhar), the attitude of the addressee to this message (taa-isyan) Allah's response (jamal-jalal) against this attitude and the end of the addressee (jannah-jahannam). In this context, we concluded that the dual narration in the Qur'an is very dense, thematically multidimensional, comprehensive and detailed. In the center of this narrative, we saw that the dichotomy between faith and unbelief in general is located. In addition, we mentioned the factors that reveal the dual expression in the Qur'an, which is not included in other studies, the importance of dual expression in religious education, how it is a necessity in education and preaching activities, and what contributions it has to the wording, meaning and addressee.
