Abstract (EN)

In the surah Al-Baqara verse 102. of the Qur'an, it is mentioned that two angels named Harut-Marut taught a knowledge in Babylon. Since magic is also generally referred mentioned in the verse, Qur'an commentators believed that both angels were sent to teach magic. But this is contrary to the idea that the angels in Islam are innocent of sins. Serious research is needed to be assessed in this area. The Quran should be considered within the framework of the historical context behind the verses and the characteristics of the Arabic language. In this research, it is tried to reach an original understanding by doing appropriate analysis.
