Abstract (EN)
The religion of Islam, as conveyed to us by Allah through the Qur'an, can be likened to a map, while the blessing of reason granted to humanity serves as a compass. For true happiness in both this world and the hereafter, both Islam and reason are necessary. Reason alone is not sufficient for attaining true happiness. All the necessary knowledge for this purpose has been conveyed to humanity through the religion of Islam. The Islamic faith is shaped within the framework of divine revelation sent by Allah and the prophets who received it. The principles of belief, worship, and morality in this religion have been communicated to the prophets by Allah through revelation. In this context, revelation can be considered a form of divine communication from Allah to humanity. Both the prophets and all other people are responsible for heeding this revelation. From the first human, Prophet Adam, to Prophet Muhammad, all the prophets conveyed the same truth — Islam. In the sight of Allah, there is only one true religion, and that is Islam. While the methods and laws may have adapted over time to the development of humanity, the core tenets of belief brought by all prophets have remained the same. The Qur'an uses several terms related to prophethood that have attracted attention. Among the most important are the terms rasul and nabi, which are both used to refer to prophets. In the Qur'an, sometimes a prophet is referred to as a nabi, sometimes as a rasul, and sometimes as both. This has led to discussions about the reasons behind this and whether these two terms are synonymous or represent different meanings. In this study, we will attempt to explain the terms rasul and nabi using these key concepts.
