Abstract (EN)
In the dictionary the concept of zaygh denotes different meanings like deviating and bending and inclining and being in doubt and departing. We find that this concept with its derivatives is mentioned nine times in the Qur?an meaning to obtain deviant thoughts concerning the facts of the belief and to be in paradox in times of complication and to be disobedient to the commands of Allah and the Prophet and bending of the hearts by Allah and swerving of the sight or not to see.The point that makes the concept of Zaygh very signifcant is the fact that it is an attribute for the heart . The heart that makes the human being addressee to Allah and His revelation is an upper concept which has many positive and negative attributes and the concept of Zaygh is one of the attributes that come within the scope of the concept of heart. By the attribute of Zaygh the heart earns a distinct meaning. The concept of Zaygh becomes the attribute of the heart when the topic is skepticism in metaphysical subjects or the hidden meanings and the distortion of the allegorical expressions or provoking dissension or causing social chaos. In spite of the fact that the concept of the zaygh implies a lower level of negativity for the heart than the attributes of the being sealed and the hardening do, it is used to express the deviance of the Judaists and the Christians and the hypocrasy of the hypocrites. The Key Words1. Zaygh (perversity)2. Heart3. The Qur?an4. Mutashabeh (allegoric)5. Te?vil (hidden meaning) and Tahref (Distortion)
