Abstract (EN)

Hope is one of the most basic elements making human life meaningful. It gives the power to live under difficulties. Whether hope and despair have an effect on the soul is closely related to the ability of a man. An individual can keep his hope alive by means of resisting difficulties in the face of faith and difficulties. The hope he has in this line also strengthens the power of faith and resistance. The line the Quran had set made the system livable in a qualified manner. In this direction a human can only overcome obstacles by making life meaningful if he believes in the might of Allah with knowledge, patience and trust. Within this context we made a research on the incidents in lives of the prophets to see how the sense of hope enriched the believers' world of meaning. It has been observed that the prophets Hz. Âdem, Hz. İbrahim, Hz. Yusuf, Hz. Musa ve Hz. Yunus whose stories are mentioned in the Holy Quran were hopeful that they will overcome the difficulties, whether it is the financial and moral difficulties they face from their interlocutors or the humane difficulties, and that mercy will reach them, and these consciousnesses provide their life satisfaction. Our study consists of two parts. In the first part, the conceptual framework, nature and psychological context of hope and despair in the Quran are discussed. In the second part, the definition of the parable and the main message in its transmission are mentioned, and the basic factors that enable hope as both worldly and otherworldly acquisition from the perspective of parables are mentioned
