Abstract (EN)

The Quran has been at the center of the efforts of understandability from the first moment, of its revelation for reasons such as leading the humanity, separating the right and the superstition, and regulating the lives of Muslims with its universal messages. One of the subjects, which engross the interpreters in understanding correctly, is the ambiguous statements of the Quran. In short, the Quranic ambiguities, which we can state as the ambiguous person, place, time or beings in the Quran, appear in many different ways in the Quran. These ambiguous statements have attracted the attentions of interpreters throughout history, and their evidences have been tried to be understood and explained. However, while doing this, different meanings may have been given to the Quranic ambiguities by different point of views; from time to time, the amphibology has been exploited by ideological interpretation studies of some parties; and sometimes, the main message of the Quran has been overlooked by going into unnecessary details. However, the existence of the Quranic ambiguities is one of the most important proofs of its universality in terms of attracting attention to the revealed messages, not to persons, tribes, time, and places. Consequently, the necessity of an interpretation that is objective and far from prejudices and pre-admissions also comes out for the verses that contain ambiguous statements, as for all other verses. Keywords: Ambiguities, Amphibology, Ambiguity, Closure, Quran.
