With in the context of the relation with the west and its effect, new approaches in the Quran interpretation

Dr. Ahmet Nedim SERİNSU This Philosophical Doctorate Thesis deals with the progress which occurs in the West and influence of this progress on the Islamic world, especially on the Qur'anic interpretation. This thesis contains an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, it is maintained the dominant factors which influence on the progresses in the West, the status of the Islamic world and in this stage muslims change experience. In the first chapter, in modern age, it is focused on Qur'anic rationary interpretation and it is elaborated Kuranic commentary in the light of scientific materials in this framework. In the second chapter, it is investigated the essence of hermeneutic, it's historicial back ground, relation with the Sacred Scripture and The Holy Quran. In the conclusion, it is considered that this interpretations whether is done on a right basic or not.
