Protection of generation in the Qur'an

God has created human beings as male and female, endowing each with distinct qualities to complement one another's deficiencies. The creation of two separate genders, male and female, is both a blessing bestowed for the fulfillment of physical and spiritual needs and a test for attaining happiness and tranquility in worldly and eternal life. In return for these blessings, one of the responsibilities entrusted to humanity is to strive for the preservation of their progeny. This study examines the principle of safeguarding progeny in religion, guided by the Qur'an. Initially, terms denoting progeny in the Qur'an are identified, and their meanings, along with relevant verses, are elucidated. Concurrently, the significance of safeguarding progeny in Islamic doctrine is expounded upon. Subsequently, deviations detrimental to the principle of safeguarding progeny, such as sexual perversions, illicit sexual relations, sexual orientations and preferences, and the concept of adultery prohibited by Islam, are scrutinized. Additionally, practices and choices that may lead to lineage confusion, such as parental interference in the child's right to life through abortion and gender alteration, are examined. Following this, measures to ensure the continuity of individual, familial, and societal peace in the preservation of progeny are evaluated. It is essential for men and women to marry in accordance with their natural disposition through a valid marriage contract and establish a family unit as a means to preserve progeny. In this context, the importance of marriage, as well as the upbringing of children within the family, is underscored for the preservation of progeny.
