Abstract (EN)

Our study titled "The Good Stop and Its Reflection on Quranic Exegesis" aims at justifying the validity of this particular stop in Quran. We first studied related sections in important exegesis sources and tried to identify the congruences and controversies regarding stopping and starting. Moreover, some verses were selected as examples, and the reflection of stopping on exegesis is analyzed in order to contribute to the enlightening of the topic. The study consists of three chapters alongside the introduction. In the first chapter the reader is informed about the justification of the scienecs of stopping, starting and exegesis. In the second chapter the main topic of the study, namely the good stop is tackled. In the third chapter, we selected verses to exemplify the good stop, and tried to put forward the impact of stopping on exegesis. Furthermore, we present examples regarding the necessity of going back to the beginning of a kalam where there is a stop since it would not be appropriate to continue. The study ends with a short conclusion including the points, suggestions and recommendations on the topic reached through our research. Keywords: Stop, start, good, verse, exegesis
