Abstract (EN)

Deficit irrigation can be explained as the application of less irrigation water to the plant in case of arid conditions. Studies on deficit irrigation have done for many different plants to find water yield functions, plant respond factor (ky) values for obtaining relations of irrigation water and yield. The results of these studies can be used in linear programming (LP) to determine optimum crop patterns for different water constraint conditions. The model results provide important information for farmers to maximize their income. In this study, a LP model was developed to determine the optimum crop pattern under sufficient and dry conditions. Developed model was applied to the Kırıkhan irrigation district. The objective function of the DP model was 100% 80% 60% and 40% of the product revenues obtained in irrigation applications, while the constraints were the restrictions on planting areas, the second crop cultivation area and different irrigation water quantity constraints. The objective function and constraints were transferred to Lindo software, as inputs. Optimum crop patterns were determined for different water quantities. Results of the study showed that when the amount of irrigation water is 70 hm3 under sufficient irrigation conditions income was calculated 147.09 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 60 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 133.49 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 50 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 119.12 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 40 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 104.76 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 30 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 84.39 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 20 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 60.71 million TL. When the amount of irrigation water is 10 hm3 under deficit irrigation conditions income was calculated 35.17 million TL. In this study, sensitivity analysis of the LP model has been made and important information has been provided from the results of the analyzes in order to maximize the income of the farmers.
