Abstract (EN)
Drug addiction is an important problem with health, social and security dimensions. Although this problem is not only a matter of struggle at the national level, it is also intensively addressed at the global level. This study aims to examine Turkey and Azerbaijan's fight against drug addiction and trafficking and the policies used in the fight. The geographical location of both countries has made them more susceptible to drug trafficking. The study emphasized the importance of correct policies, adequate budget use and international cooperation in the fight against drug addiction and smuggling. In the thesis, it has been seen that Türkiye and Azerbaijan have developed similar and different strategies in the fight against drug addiction. Turkey's successes in the fight against addiction and the difficulties it faces have been examined together with Azerbaijan's efforts in the fight against addiction and the results it has achieved.
