Abstract (EN)

Logistic activities which are started to be called global logistics and becoming more important day by day has an important place in world economy. In national and international transitions, the need for logistic villages which serve a kind of special center that fulfill many integrated logistic activities based on commercial basis such as transportation, distribution, storage, handling, consolidation, decomposition, custom clearance, export, import, transit operations, infrastructure services, insurance and banking, consulting and production increases daily.The most important reason that gives way to the emergence of logistic villages is no doubt increasing trade volume and as result of this, the pressure that is caused by the logistics activities in the city.Because of the reasons that geopolitically being surrounded by three seas, in terms of logistics, its feasibility in entrance-exist and transshipping, also the connection of three continents, Asia, Europe and Africa, Turkey is in an important strategic position. In recent years, as Turkey shows a great deal of improvement in many areas and advances in world?s economy, it cannot be acceptable to depict an underdeveloped figure in a very important area like logistics. Logistic village concept that is very important in logistics has come into question with the project of TCDD (Turkish Republic Government Railways). Logistic villages which began to be established around 90s in the world and have been increasing for 10 years are going to give way for great power to Turkey in the economic field.In the research, general concepts and definitions about logistics and logistic villages are attempted to be introduced and, especially, the assessment criteria which are important for foundation of logistic villages are determined by studying researches about logistic villages which are done in that area, in the world and the weight of these criteria is defined with AHP. Moreover, in Turkey, seven ports which have connection with the railways and can be evaluated within the context of logistic villages are determined. Following, these ports are listed independently according to criteria and their level of importance by using the AHP and Promethee methods from multiple-decision making methods and the results are evaluated comparatively.Key Words: Globalization, Logistic villages, Promethee, AHP
