Özet (EN)

Global warming and climate change, which triggers of each other, have come to the fore in recent years. Due to global warming and climate change, the frequency of extreme weather events has increased, sea level rise, deforestation, drought and desertification, decrease in water and food security, famine, infertility of soil in agriculture, various negative effects have emerged in environmental, economic, social and political areas. In particular, the environmental negativities of climate change and the mass migrations that will be brought along by natural disasters and the issue of climate refugees will be one of the main issues that will need to be resolved in the international arena. It is claimed that between 50 and 200 million people in the world will migrate as climate refugees by 2050. It is thought that 30 million people will migrate to Turkey due to climate change. In the interviews held within the framework of the study, it was concluded that as a result of environmental problems and natural disasters caused by global warming and climate change, Turkey, which is on the migration routes due to its geopolitical position, will be disproportionately affected by the mass migration to be realized by climate refugees. At the end of the research, effective policy and strategy suggestions were presented against the risk of migration of possible climate refugees to our country.
