Analysis of the global environment and climate change policies of the Eurasian Economic Union in the context of global governance

In this research, the policies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in solving global environment and climate change problems in the context of global governance will be researched and international collaborations on this subject will be analyzed. The research will focus on examining the global environment and climate change policies of both the EAEU and the member states of the Union. In the first part, the concept of global governance will be explained, the emergence of the EAEU will be examined and global environmental and climate problems will be determined. In the second part, the global environment and climate change policies of the EAEU will be analyzed. In this context, policies of EAEU between 2014-2016 and 2016-2021 will be analyzed. Again in this section, global environmental and climate change problems will be examined on the basis of member countries. In the third part of the study, international collaborations that the EAEU tries to realize in the solution of global environment and climate change problems will be discussed in the context of global governance. Here, its contributions to global governance will be explored, and its collaborations with the United Nations and its specialized agencies, and its relations with the European Union and Shanghai Cooperation Organization will also be analyzed. Collaborations with global non-governmental organizations will also be examined in detail here. In this section, the work of Kazakhstan, which holds the term presidency of the EAEU in 2021, will be mentioned. Resources related to the concept of global governance, global environment and climate change will be taken from the library. The studies, agreements, strategies and platforms of the EAEU on global environment and climate change will be taken from the official website of the organization. Statistical data are provided by Environmental Performance Index (EPI), World Resources Institute, SSI etc. International conferences results report, news, speeches at meetings will also be analyzed.
