World Trade Organization as instrument of intervention for big states in globalizing world

With the globalization process, which is considered as the dominant policyorientation of the present time, effective actors that determine the world politics hasalso changed. This change of actors should be welcomed as normal because nation-states are losing ground, and they began to share their power with non-state actors.The globalization process has proven itself especially in economics and politics, andthese are followed by other fields.Especially international organizations play an important impact on studiesbeing globalization and in the adaptation process of global policies. Internationalorganizations contributed to globalization process in almost every field fromeconomics to sociology, from health to sports and politics. Especially in economics,international organizations have undertaken very important roles in shaping theworld economy in parallel to the global economic concept.This study emphasizes how international organizations, which play an activerole in adapting the world economics and politics to globalization policies, improvedthemselves in accomplishing these objectives they targeted. World TradeOrganization, which is one of the most important actors of international economicsystem and that of the globalization process, its activities and its role is analyzed. Inthe final section, critical and negative perspectives towards the World TradeOrganization and demands of opposition groups are explained.
