Abstract (EN)
In this study, the situation of the relation between religion and terror in theprocess of globalization was discussed. Therefore, firstly, the concepts concerning thesubject were tried to be explained. After that, considering the historical roots of theconcepts and the changes that they had in the past, their circumstances of today weresearched. In this connection it was investigated that if in general religion and especiallyIslam inspired and originated terror or not. The scope of the research intensifies on theIslamic terror (or Islamist terror) concept which has an increasing usage after the attacksin 11 September 2001.Key Words: Globalization, Terror, Religion, Jihad, Secularism, Islam phobia.
