Abstract (EN)

Climate change is one of the most important global problems facing the world and all living things on Earth. Climate change threatens the planet and the lives of all living things on the planet. Global warming is the gradual increase in the earth's temperature. Urbanization is one of the most important causes of global warming and climate change. Climate change has a significant negative impact on urban and rural areas and the population living in these areas. Establishing the link between the climate crisis, which has critical effects on the built and natural environment, social and economic structure, and urban planning is of great importance in terms of combating climate change. In this context, cities need to develop strategies to cope with the climate crisis. Within the scope of the study, urbanization, globalization and climate change are discussed and it is aimed to evaluate the strategy of cities to cope with the climate crisis in the context of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. After evaluating the effects of climate change on Denizli province, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality's efforts to combat climate change are mentioned.
