Organizational leadership and criterions in globalization process

D THESIS ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND CRITERIONS IN GLOBALIZATION PROCESS Kaya A?IN Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Dursun BİNGÖL 2001- PAGE : 269 Jury : Prof. Dr. Dursun BİNGÖL Globalization, which means the opening of the economical and social borders, becoming widespread and development of social affairs among the countries have been causing important changes in every feature of the nations. Our aim in this study is to find out the effects of globalization process to organizational leadership, to present the global thinking type and the leadership, managerial skills and global leadership criterions and then to make a research at this direction. Our study consists of three sections. In the first section; globalization concept, historical development, dynamics and general effects have been reported on. In the second section; organizational leadership concept, types and the effects of globalization process to organizational leadership have been studied widely and leadership criterions have been presented theoretically by means of searching from many books. In the third section; theoretically presented criterions have been tested by a questionnaire study made with the top managers of sixty industrial organizations. At the end of the study; the effects to the Turkish industrial organization leadership have been observed and presented assumptions have been confirmed.
