Abstract (EN)
This research focuses on determining the positions and attitudes towards women in higher education from the younger generation of various ethnic/language groups in different settlements, along with their mothers and grandmothers. In this context, 141 women, including Kurdish, Arabic, and Assyrian higher-educated young generations, as well as their mothers and grandmothers in Adana, Şanlıurfa, and Mardin, were interviewed. The analysis examines differentiation and transformation among the higher-educated generation and the other two generations, inter-group differences based on native languages, and distinctions among cities. Limited native language or urban differentiations were observed, while the higher-educated young generation significantly differentiated from their two major predecessors. Although the main reason for the difference in the change in women's positions and attitudes is the difference in their educational status, there are also some meaningful differences according to generations, ethnicity (mother tongue, religious, sectarian, tribal group) and provinces (cities). Keywords: Gender, Patriarchy, Class, Status, Community/Influence Groups, Generation, Native Language, Social Change.
