Abstract (EN)

Key Words: Knowledge, Knowledge Management, Knowledge Management Model, Management Information Systems, Enterprise Knowledge Management Model. In this study a model of An Enterprise Knowledge Management Model (EKKM) has been developed for this purpose. The main motivation of this model is to improve a strong and healthy organizational structure for the enterprise in question. it is now obvious that a successful knowledge management clearly requires some processes such as searching for knowledge, producing the knowledge and updating it etc. An effective information infrastructure is not enough for just handling of all these processes. It is also necessary to create knowledge representation schemes so that the knowledge is understood by all in the same way and to define the systems making the right knowledge to be at the right place at the right time. Knowledge using and planning are also the most important parts of knowledge management model purpose. In addition to this defining knowledge management strategies and related organizational structure are to be defined. This will assure that the knowledge management activities are considered at an enterprise level. Knowledge management activities should be considered as way of life in this successful enterprise. This clearly indicates the need for a knowledge culture to be developed. This in turn increases the knowledge sharing capabilities allowing each other to increase their knowledge. This could be considered an ?knowledge leverage?. Above all of these, knowledge management activities should be revived and periodical evaluated in order to make sure that activities required for a proper a carried out . The problems than can be sorted out necessary improvement can be realized. The model proposed in this study is designed in such a way that it makes sure that all issues explained above are taken in to consideration. xvi
