Abstract (EN)

In the framework of the institutional logics theory, the process of transitioning from the traditional institutional logic where the founder is the only manager of the organization into the institutional logic where the management is handed over to the professional managers whose occupation is to manage as a reflection of the corporation logic comprises the main research topic of this study. The aim of this study which employs the theory of institutional logics is to contribute in understanding the process of transitioning into the professional management logic in organizations. In line with the purpose of this qualitative study, process study method was used. Subjects of the study were selected among two businesses which had different experiences in the process of transitioning into professional management logic and their experiences in this transitioning process were examined. In this study which utilized qualitative data collection and analysis methods, efforts were made to answer the questions of which organizational and institutional factors triggered the logic change, what are the steps of the logic change process and how it occurs among different organizational levels. Results of the study include a model suggestion for the organizational-level logic change process and the role of middle management on the process was emphasized.
