Abstract (EN)

It is common for employees within construction and finance companies to experience feeling of being overworked and overwhelmed in the workplace environment. For this reason, it is valuable to study employees' perspective in construction and finance companies. The aim of this study was to have a deeper understanding of the need for applying corporate wellness programs for employees in construction and finance companies. This study surveyed employees who are in all organizational levels and positions at construction and finance companies in Jordan and Turkey. This survey asked questions based on employees' perspectives that explored the barriers that limited the use of corporate wellness programs and explored the need and benefit of applying these programs in the aspect of increasing employee's satisfaction and motivation, reducing occupational stress and turnover, and enhance performance. The result suggest limited knowledge on corporate wellness programs and not enough resources available to implement wellness programs as the most common barriers in construction and finance companies. Employees' interest to participate in corporate wellness programs is suggested by the results as common facilities to successfully implement corporate wellness programs in Jordanian and Turkish companies.
