Bibliometric analysis of the articles published on the effect of corporate social responsibility activities on financial performance

With the effect of globalization, while businesses have difficulty in competing in the market, they have also had to meet the expectations of the society. It is not possible for businesses that are not sensitive to social problems to survive not only in the global market but also in the society they are in. The concept of corporate social responsibility has become an increasingly important concept in parallel with the increase in responsibility levels as a result of the growth of enterprises and the expansion of their domains. With the increasing responsibilities of businesses towards all interest groups, the concept of corporate social responsibility has gained importance day by day. In addition, one of the most important factors in the long-term sustainability of businesses in the market is their financial performance level. This study, it was carried out to bibliometrically examine the articles published on the effects of corporate social responsibility activities on financial performance between 2010-2020, and to reveal the scientific development process and current situation. For this purpose, articles on the subject in Web of Science, Dergipark and TR Dizin databases were included in the scope of the research. The articles in these databases were subjected to bibliometric analysis according to many different parameters.
