Abstract (EN)
Today, individuals tend to pay attention not only to individual benefit but also to social benefit in their choice of product and service purchase. Along with the changing world and consumption habits, consumers also buy the values that the product and service provide rather than the product itself. For this reason, it has become important not only to provide quality products and services to the consumer, but also to create value. In addition, making a difference with various strategies or ways has become an imperative to provide competitive advantage. It is becoming an important criterion for differentiation of businesses to carry out their activities with corporate social responsibility awareness. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of corporate social responsibility projects in choosing traditional banks and participation banks, and to achieve meaningful results by comparing corporate social responsibility perceptions. When the literature studies in this field are analyzed, it is seen that there is no comparison between participation bank and deposit bank. In the study, which consists of four chapters, corporate social responsibility was revealed in detail in the first chapter. In the second part, the factors affecting the bank preferences of the customers were examined. In the third part, general information about Turkish Ekonomy Bank and Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank was given as well as their social responsibility activities. In the fourth part, the interviewers went to Kuveyt Türk and TEB bank branches in Bakırköy, Fatih, Kadıköy, Pendik districts of Istanbul and applied a questionnaire to bank customers with face-to-face survey technique. 451 bank customers participated in the survey. The analysis of the data obtained in the research was carried out through IBM SPSS 23.0 software. In the conclusion part, analyzes were evaluated and suggestions were presented to banks.
