The role of transformational leadership in the impact of corporate sustainability on corporate culture

In today's business world, sustainability has become an important strategic priority for the long-term success and social responsibility of organizations. In this context, the importance of corporate culture has become increasingly important for the success of corporate sustainability efforts. This study aims to understand the effects of corporate sustainability on organizational culture and to examine the role of transformational leadership in this process. At the beginning of the study, it is discussed how the concept of sustainability has evolved in the business world and why the efforts of organizations in this regard are increasing. Then, it focuses on how corporate culture can shape sustainability strategies and emphasizes the critical importance of leadership in this interaction process. Transformational leadership is placed at the center of the study. Transformational leaders' visionary approaches, impressive communication skills and their ability to create a strong bond among employees can play an effective role in creating a culture of sustainability. The role of this leadership approach in strengthening corporate sustainability by increasing employee engagement in sustainability goals and leading positive changes in organizational culture is examined. In this context, the study was investigated with the help of a survey technique applied to 568 white-collar employees of ISKI organization in Istanbul province. The findings reveal that transformational leadership is a key factor in creating a sustainability-oriented organizational culture.
