The role of accounting auditing in the process of institutionalization and application in Azerbaijan

Some changes take place in the management process of organizations with the effect of globalization. The notion of institutionalization, which has general definitions such as the fact that all works in the organizations are not done by the owner of the institution and directed to experts, has emerged as a result of these changes. From the point of institutionalization expression, corporate governance; which has an important role in ensuring the continuity of the companies and interest groups to protect all rights. One of the issues in which the concept of institutionalization is concerned and related accounting audit. In the establishment of corporate reputation and trust, auditing activities play a very important role in the successful implementation of corporate governance principles. In the context of providing functionality to the institutionalization process in companies, audit activities are of great importance. The purpose of this study is to determine the importance of corporate governance and audit; to explain the contribution of the transition to the institutionalization process and the role of accounting audit in the process of institutionalization. The three-part study focuses on the basic aspects of institutionalization, corporate governance and accounting. After the theoretical examination of the development of the audit in Azerbaijan, the implementation work on the institutionalization and accounting audit in Azerbaijan was carried out in a private corporate company and domestic independent audit company. As a result of the evaluation, the benefits of the process of institutionalization are given to the enterprise and the role of accounting audit in this process has been included by a company serving in Azerbaijan.
