Approaches of small and medium sized managements towards instutionalization to modern management techniques (example of Forest Products Industrial Managements of the Central Anatolia Region)

Example of forest products industrial enterprises of the central anatolia region. The purpose of this research; the aim of this study is to determine how much they give importance to modern management techniques and institutionalization concept in order to provide competitive advantage for forest products industry enterprises in an increasing competitive environment as a result of globalization. For this, the problems encountered in the implementation of modern management techniques applied by enterprises, what are the benefits and disadvantages provided by the application of modern management techniques and the obstacles encountered in the application of institutionalization and modern management techniques are examined within the scope of the study. The study was conducted on forest products industry managements in Central Anatolia Region. 657 forest products and furniture managements with 10 or more employees constitute the universe of the study. In this study, questionnaire was used as a means of obtaining data and in the scope of the study, surveys were conducted in 395 managements. As a result of the study, it was found that the small and medium sized managements surveyed were inadequate in applying modern management techniques and were at an average level in the application of process improvement methods. Lack of trust in the personnel was found to be effective in reach this result.
