Abstract (EN)
Social, economic and technological developments have changed the existing structure of the culture of societies. The differentiating characteristics of generations over time have led to differences of opinion and problems of not being able to meet in common goals in business life. This problem creates differences between generations in the management and management processes in companies. It is important that the differences between generations are well understood by the management levels, in order to reach the desired efficiency and productivity criteria in business life. In line with this information, the aim of the study is to determine the differences in management and management in business life between generations. The study was divided into three categories according to Katz's (Management Skills) theory, based on the theories of Mintzberg (Management Roles) and Fayol (Management Functions) in order to better understand the differences of opinion, using the phenomenology pattern, one of the patterns of qualitative research. An in-depth interview consisting of 15 questions was conducted with 12 participants. The management views of the generations' own upbringing have been revealed, and it has been understood that while the Baby Boomer Generation and the X Generation have similar classical style management views, the Y and Z generations have adopted the modern management approach in direct proportion to today's developments. Key Words: Baby Boomer Generation, Generation X, Generation Y, Generation Z, Managing and Being Managed.
