DETERMINATION OF TRACE ELEMENTS IN ROSEHIP FRUITS WITHDIFFERANTIAL PULSE POLAROGRAPHY(M.Sc. Thesis)Murat GÖKÇEKGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYMay 2006ABSTRACTThe aim of this work was determine the trace elements in rosehip fruits. For thispurpose differential pulse polarography has been used. Samples of drying fruitare digested with wet methode in HClO4, HNO3 and HCl. At this work, first,trace elements in drying rosehip fruits and optimum working conditions of theseelements have been determined. The ions are determined in different conditionsthat are Se(IV) in HCl at pH=2, Mo(VI) in 1M BR at pH=3, Pb(II) in 1MHAc/Ac- at pH=4 and pH=6, Cu(II) in 1M HAc/Ac- at pH=6, Zn(II) and Ni(II) in1M NH3/NH4Cl at pH=9, Cd(II) in 1M K2CO3 at pH=12 and in HCl pH=2.Quantities of trace elements in samples are determined for Se(IV): 341 ± 46 µg/g; Mo(VI): 15 ± 3 µg/g ; Pb (II) : 50 ± 3 µg/g at pH = 9, 41± 4 µg/g at pH=4 ; Cu(II) : 37 ± 7 µg/g ; Zn(II) : 353 ± 56 µg/g ; Ni(II) : 60 ± 5 µg/g ; Cd 74± 4 µg/g at:pH=2, 67± 7 µg/g at pH=12 for n=5, % 95 confidence interval.Science code : 404.03.01Key Words : Rosehip, determination of trace elements, differential pulsepolarographyPage Number : 105Advisor : Assist.
