Effect of some ambient and treatments on rooting of rose hip(Rosa dumalis L.) hardwood cuttings

Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted in January-March 2019. In the study, hardwood cuttings of MR-46 rosehip genotype which was previously obtained by selection in Tokat province was used. Biopreparate containing Pseudomonas fluorescens, Paenibacillus polymyx, Bacillus megaterium and Pantoea agglomerance bacteria species alone and combined with 2000 ppm IBA were treated to hardwood cuttings taken in January and placed to peat, perlite, peat + perlite mixtures (1: 1) rooting media. Callusing rate, rooting rate, number of roots, root length, total dry matter content of the roots were determined by removing the cuttings held for two months. As a result; the highest root formation rate was obtained from wood cuttings treated with 2000 ppm IBA in peat + perlite medium with 57.70%. There was no statistically significant difference between peat and perlite media. When the number of roots was examined, it was obtained from cuttings treated with a dose of 2000 ppm IBA in peat medium with 7.33 pieces/cutting. The highest root length of 6.90 cm with 2000 ppm IBA dose perlite medium was found to be treated with the cuttings, the lowest perlite medium with 2.00 cm was observed in the cutting treated with bacterial application. The highest rate of callus formation was detected in cuttings treated with bacteria in perlite medium with 70.08%, while the lowest peat was observed in IBA and bacteria application.
