Water and sediment analysis of Çeltikçi and Erdoğmuş pond in Gediz district of Kütahya

In the water and sediment analysis study carried out in Gediz Çeltikçi Pond and Gediz Erdoğmuş Pond; It is aimed to examine the samples of water and sediment affecting the aquatic creatures, crops and soil in the pond, to evaluate the results and share them with the authorities, to take necessary precautions and to contribute to the protection of the ecosystem. Heavy metal levels were investigated by taking water and sediment samples from 2 different stations in seasonal periods from the ponds. Heavy metals to be examined in water samples; It was determined as Al, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb, Zn. During the field study, the temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, salinity and TDS parameters of the ponds were examined and added to the study. Heavy metal measurements ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy) device; Physicochemical parameter measurements were determined at the point and time of sampling using the HQ40D digital two-channel multimeter. It has been determined that the heavy metal concentration levels measured in Gediz Çeltikçi Pond and Gediz Erdoğmuş Pond are not at levels that threaten the aquatic environment and irrigation quality.
