Abstract (EN)

Language is the most important tool which makes communication and it deals the past events or present events to the past events. At the same time, Language has a construction that lives and advances in its own rules. In the process time, living conditions of societies enact in language forming. The sub-units; dialect, idiom, accent are formed in this process, too. In this investigation, an accent study was made in Gediz and the shape, sound differences about this local accent and our writing language are exposed.The village and society which is chosenas its ethnical shape belongs to Kütahya-Gediz form the sample of the invesgation. The studies of this invesgation were made by interviewing these villagersand are based on 15 texts. These collection texts are loaded to phonetics writing by basing on ? transcription system?.In the introduction part of the study, the historical and social status of Kutahya Province and its one of the towns, Gediz, were examined. In the first chapter, language and its sub-fields were focused on.In the second chapter, the phonological characteristics of Turkish Language were studied and some examples from Gediz were provided.In the third chapter, im the third cahpter, collected texts were presented.Key Words: Gediz , Accent, Sound, Shape, İnformation of Vocabulary.
