The determination and research of the leisure activity habits of primary school teachers in Kutahya

THE DETERMINATION AND RESEARCH OF THE LEISURE ACTIVITY HABITSOF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN KUTAHYASerdar BİNARBAŞIABSTRACTTime is life and to consume time for nothing means to spend the life. Nowdays, it ismostly seen that the people of the undeveloped and developing countries? are hoping to win orto gain success by little work right along with factor like chance and magic. Although, thepeople of the developed countiers? think that success and to win is related with theindividual?s self effort and work. Therefore, they need time to programme their social lives,amusements and rests.The time slice execpt the necessity, which is deserved by the individual to be amused,to have fun and or to improve him self; and the refreshing and amusing voluntary effortscarried on in this time slice are called recreation.In this research the leisure interests of the primary school teachers who work inKutahya province. Time, leisure time and recreation are explained in the first chapter. In thesecond chapter, information about Kutahya and the recreative opportunities of the provinceare given. The last chapter contains the findings and the explanation of the survey. The surveyfield of the research includes the primary school teachers in Kutahya and the sampling frameconsits 689 of themA survey of questions 14 demografic and 62 Likert scale is carried in the reasearch toexamine the leisure interests of the primary school teachers who work in Kutahya province.The percentage and the frequency distributions of the outputs are produced. For the statisticalacceptance of the Cross-Tabulation and chi-square tests α=0.05 significance has been definedanalysis in some questions;signifance level is determined. SPSS 11.5 statistic programme isused in evaluating the data and in calculations.
