Restoration project of Yeni Mahalle Rum bath in Kutahya

This study is issued on Kütahya Yeni Mahalle Bath which is an example of XIX th century bath architecture located in the central province of Kütahya, Lala Hüseyin Paşa District. The aim of this study is to document the current situation of Kütahya Yeni Mahalle Rum Bath; which is one of the cultural assets witness the ethnic culture and partially demolished, abondoned, thruough the analytical investigations and evaluations, to reveal the original state of building by the restitution and bringing the restoration proposal for sustainable protection of a building in a light of protection principles. In the thesis bath examples has been choosen from Kütahya, Eskişehir, Afyon cities, by this way typological study has been composed and Yeni Mahalle Rum Bath?s place has been identified in this typology. This study includes; graphic documentation that defines Rum Bath, restitution that shows the original state, environmental analysis, the comparative study catalog and restoration project that contributes to make ready the structure for restoration.Key Words: Kütahya, Rum, Bath, Restoration
