"Dream" as a means of holy's self-revelation

This study tacklesthe subjects of the sacred and dreamwhich areindispensable partsof human life from existence of humanity untiltoday.Dreams that dominatethe science of thepsychology andthepsychology ofreligion are one of the topics which maintain its headiness both in the past andthe future. Dream phenomenon that has a steady location on all religions,cultures and mythologies has ainnovative importance forthetreatmentprocesses of neurotic diseases owing to the modern psychology studies. Modernpsychology benefits from myths and sanctus fact that show similarity withdreams untill it acquires operational function of dreams. The sanctus that has a supersensuous power and important place onhuman life reveals its manifestationwith dreams that have a differentconsciousness level. In this sense, this study is evaluated on psychoanalyticalcontext by dwelling on both two subjects individually. Since aim of the thisstudy is finding out that what do senses in question cause to what sorts of effectsabout human. Besides, the number of studies that dream and sanctus are pairedtogether on psycohology of religion is very few. One of the main reasons for thisinadequacy is that these topics are intangible and getting through to exact andclear findings is quite difficult.This study consists of three main parts. In the first part, generalinformation is given about organism of sleep, its process and benefits to setguidelines of the topic. Afterwards, the definition and quality of thedream isgiven and the topic is continued with types of dreams. Relationship between dream and symbol is focused on and scientific studies about dreams areanalyzed. The first part is ended with dream studies on the psychology. In thesecond part, sanctusis tackled with its guidelines. The point of views ofhistorians of religions who have studied on sanctus are included. Also,interactions about sanctus which are between historians of religions andpsychologists are tackled. Finally, in the third part, the manifestation of sanctuson the dreams is analyzed by predicating on various civilisations and religions. As a result, these are found that the dream has important functions forall humanity and there is a phenomenon that provide manifestation of sanctus.
